Hiya, i promise you this one has a point to it haha.
So, (there i go again starting with so) i was recently in a geography lesson and we were watching something and, there was a part about how many Chinese people were changing the way their eyes look because they wanted to be more western. Now i completely appreciate that they weren't happy with the way the look, and they might have been a bit self conscious so they wanted to change that but C'mon.
I would completely understand if you were you were say living in another country where everyone else looked completely different to you, but she (the woman this was about) was in a country where everyone had similar if not the same type of facial features (i don't mean to stereotype).
I think it was a Piers Morgan documentary, when he used to do them because i didn't even know he did.
Before that, i watched a documentary on Channel 4 i think it was unreported world or something like that but it was about how people in Brazil we're changing the way they looked so they could potentially get a job.
There was this one bit about a woman who had African descent and she had a nose job, because she obviously was told or thought that, the way her nose was shaped prevented her from getting a job.
Can i just say, that all these things make you. It is part of your origin, why change what makes you different? (sings backstreet boys in head, i think its backstreet boy).
I obviously have African descent so i have a "big lips, and big nose" which i often got teased for when i was younger living in a primarily European country and I'm not even gonna lie, it made me feel really upset but i wouldn't change those things about me for the world.
I just wasn't around in a good environment because now, I'm surrounded by people who are completely amazed by my big lips and there may be the odd few people who might talk about my features behind my back but i don't even care, they can jog right on!!
Please, Please, Please, don't let what other people say influence the dramatic choices you say in life because they really aren't worth it. They will never be you, and you are brilliant i promise you.
Have you seen Corrina Corrina? where the maid type woman teaches the little girl to say the chant thing? i can't remember exactly how it went but it was something like "My names Molly Singer, and there is no one in the world better than me"
That is so, so true because there will never be anyone better than YOU! because there is only ONE YOU!!
Just bare that in mind the next time you decide to let the words of other influence the decisions you make!
One day, you will find someone who loves you for being you, you've just got to let the time come and continue being true to yourself fore you've got to be true yourself!!
It'd be great to know that you've considered any of the stuff i have said in this, but just keep it in mind.
