2015 Reading List

"I swapped my innocence for pride
Crushed the end within my stride
Said 'I'm strong now I know that I'm a leaver"
I love the sound of you walking away
Mascara bleeds a blackened tear
And I am cold
Yes I'm cold
But not as cold as you are
I love the sound of you walking away"
Walk Away - Franz Ferdinand
When i first listened to this i was sort of like "Whaat" but you know when you listen to a song a lot more times and it grows on you?? Well yeah this is how i felt about this song, but i really like it now.

Hello Smelly Potatoes!!!! I'm joking you aren't smelly and you may or may not be potatoes.
I hope you've been really well. Happy Half-Term, i have so much i need to do but i hope to get some much needed R&R. How excited are we for the Imagine Dragons album tomorrow?aaaaaah.
Anyway enough of the chitchat.

I actually have a list of posts i need to do on my phone, and that's what is keeping me motivated.
So, I'm just gonna give you a list of books that i would quite like to read before the end of the year(Hopefully)
Here it goes.

1. Eat Pray Love

I feel like this book is almost a classic. Like I've watched the film i don't know how many times, and i feel like it is my obligation to at least read the book. And James Franco
is in the film so i guess it's a must!

2. The Yellow Birds

Whenever I think of this book i always think of the song lyrics "We all live in a Yellow submarine" I think it's because they both have the word 'Yellow' in them.
So this book is about a mans struggle about returning home after fighting a year in Iraq where he lost his best friend. However he feels incredibly guilty because he promised his friends Mother that he would return him home safely.

4. 14,000 things to be happy about

The hype around this book has probably long since died, but i feel like i owe it to myself to read it, and it seems cute so win win right?

5. She is not invisible

This book really seems interesting, and i quite like how the cover almost doesn't give much away. It's basically about a 16 Year Old blind girl whose Father goes missing and she and her younger brother set out to go and find him.

6. All The Light We Cannot See

I'm a sucka for a great historical fiction book. Again, this is about a blind girl and a story of like intertwining paths or lives, during the time when Hitler was doing all his stuff. I think this book sort of reminds me of The Girl You Left Behind by Jojo Moyes, because of the similar backstory.

7. The opposite of loneliness

Source: Amazon.co,uk

This is basically a collection of essays by a girl called Marina who died five days after he graduated from university at Yale. And i guess
she was such a good writer that they made a book about it.

8. Lullabies

You've probably seen Lang Leavs' poetry on some sort of social network and not even realised, like it's so good and can instantly relate to it.  I just feel like having the whole collection in one book would be amazing, and even better reading it.

So yeah, i think that's it. Now that I've put all these books on here i have an excuse to spend money on Amazon on books. It's a real addiction, I'm the sort of person who will buy a book, read half of it then buy another book. So i have an endless list of books I've started reading but never finished.
It's a real problem guys!

I hope you have an amazing week, and go to sleep early and eat well, and be friendly to everyone.
I really wish you the best guys.

Until Next Time!!!
Naomie
