Dealing With Stress

"Endless distraction, you worry me But I'm trying to figure out how You don't have to make any promises, love I'm afraid I might die for you now And I'd kill just to watch you as you're sleeping I hope that you'll let me, in time You don't have to call me yours, my love Damn it, I'm calling you mine!" Keaton Henson - 10am Gard Du Nord
Keaton Henson is amazing, AND!! he has a beard!!!! Even better. But yeah, he has a "totes amaze" voice, and his songs are really good.
Take a listen, and see for yourself!

Hello!!!! It has been far to long, and i'm sorry. I hope you're all doing well, you know how it goes. If you were doing your exams, i hope they went well not long left right aye.

So this is really overdue but the exam period has just made me realise like how common it is to get stressed and not even realise. So i've done a little research and put together a few things that could potentially help you combat the stress. Now i must say, i am no doctor so yeah. Also, i've got an odd number of things which is making my blood boil and i'm sorry that there is only nine things haha.

1. Keep Hydrated
By this i mean water, and try to stay away from things like caffeine (Things i didn't do). Drinking water will prevent the annoying headaches that can sometimes happen, and possibly keep you sane.

2. Exercise
Before we start coming up with excuses as to why we can't possibly exercise, hear me out. I don't mean that you should go full on running man, i mean that you should just make sure you try to do some sort of physical activity. Like having a kickabout in the garden and walking to the shops even.
P.S my excuse for not exercising is "I'm allergic"

3. Talk To Someone
Please please, please make sure you talk to someone about how you are feeling. Whether it's a friend or a teacher, there are so so many people out there who want to help you through it.

4. Sleep
If only i could sleep forever and ever and not be a complete social hermit!
Okay so you've got to make sure you are getting enough sleep, no all nighters reading a book (I know you're out there) no staying up all night on your phone texting. Okay! Your body needs a full power down

5. Healthy Eating
Okay, so make sure you're getting a balanced diet. It is super easy to just stay in the bedroom and only come out for the occasional snack, but is that really good? (Okay don't answer that, not even in your head)
So balanced diet, not too much of one thing.

6. Relaax
Give yourself time to yourself, take a  breather i'm sure you deserve it. Take a bit of time in the day to take a couple of deep breaths (My science teacher said you'll be able to feel it in your lower back), listen to a few of your favourite songs (Or mine), you could try meditation.

7. No To Negative
Do not allow yourself to be consumed by negative thoughts, it won't do you any good. It'll just make you completely worried and frantic about nothing.
Instead, think about the lighter sides of things.

8. Manage Time
Okay so, you need to make sure you priorotise your time. You could try writing lists or something, just so that you know what you are doing and can keep yourself busy.

9. LAUGH!!
Watch an Adam Sandler film or something, 2 Broke Girls. I dunno whatever can make you laugh until it hurts, call a close friend. Just do something funny. Hello, tell yourself a cheesy joke. i promise you will feel so so much better at the end of it.

Right okay, again i'm sorry for that pesky odd number. I hope this truly you know helps, and if it does i'd  love to know so leave a comment.
Have an amazing week, and good luck with your exams. I have a few book reviews to do and maybe music i'm liking so, I'll be sure to put them up soon.

All the best,
Naomie
