And The Mountains Echoed - Khaled Hosseini

"I knew that look dear eyes always seeking, was there in someone that dug long ago. So i will not ask you why you were creeping, in some sad way i already know." Like Real People Do - Hozier
This summer, i have fallen in love with Hozier and James Bay even better they are doing a tour together but in the U.S. But yeah, this song is good,it's quite short but a lot of emotion within the lyrics.

Friends, it's been a while and i apologise! I hope you are well, and the weekend treated you well. If not you still have time to make it UHMAZING.
I have some news it's my birthday tomorrow, but i will admit I'm pretty neutral i feel no emotion towards me getting older but oh well. I have a book review for you.
And so it begins...

So, i read a book and the book is called And The Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini, and i must admit the book is pretty good and i enjoyed it more than i thought i would!

It begins "You want a story and i will tell you one" which made me think ooooh. However it begins with a Father telling his Son and Daughter a story which will prove somewhat significant to the rest of the book.
Any doubts i had about the book being boring  were soon gone as it went on.

I don't really know how to describe the story line because it is one of those books where each chapter is a different person but they all serve a purpose to the story. Having said that Khaled Hosseini has written this book in such a way that the character changes are not annoying at all, as some books can often  be. With each chapter/character change some time has usually passed which is quite helpful because we find out about previous characters from chapters before. And a lot of the times the characters are talking from a memory, so they are remembering the time when...etc etc

The book is like a web and in the center of the story is  Saboor a hard worker, his son Abdullah and Pari his daughter (which i think is a beautiful name). All the other pieces of the book soon relate back to this first story or have some significance to getting answers. Once the book begins it's easy to think you know exactly what is going to happen, but upon reading the book you realise you may have been wrong.
The character who most dominates the book is Nabi (Uncle Nabi) who although we should probably feel anger towards for what he did, the letter he writes makes us think twice and actually feel sorry for him.

The book in itself is quite a powerful book, which is what i expected from the things i heard about Khaled Hosseini as an author. I would say however it may not be for everyone, like a lot of people would probably find it boring after reading a few pages which i will say is completely understandable.

So all in all i enjoyed this book very much and if you think you would enjoy reading it, you probably should. I've found that it's definitely a book that makes you think, because of all the emotion coming from each character.

I think that's all i have to say on that note friends! Have an amazing week! I went to watch Let's Be Cops yesterday, i should probably talk about that soon because it was amazing!!!

Lot's of Love,
Naomie
