Cut - Patricia McCormick

"This pillow talk don't wake me up, my dream is done i'm still in love. I know your fears just lying here, i think i'll leave, please don't my dear. This pillow talk will wake me up no matter what i'm dreaming"
Pillow Talk - Wild  Child. I lurve Wild Child, they are so good. This has got to be one of my favourite songs off their album Pillow Talk, either this song or...Real Estate. You should listen to them.

Hello dearest friends, hows you hanging? I have some good news :D
Joking i don't have any news, i did but i forgot i'm sorry (I really should start writing stuff down)

Today i have a review of....Cut by Patricia McCormick (Can i just say Ben Harper is playing, and i am in the zone) and in brief i can say it is an alright book, just alright for me.

Now this book touches on quite a sensitive topic, released in 2002 it was named 'Best book for young adults' of that year. Cut is set in a institute? I don't know if that is the right word, but it's set in like a residential clinic type place for young people with problems or disorders being the better word (or not?) and it as about a young girl named Callie who doesn't talk, and she cuts herself on her wrists. So as the book goes on, we learn why she cuts herself and what life is like at 'Sea Pines' the name of the clinic she stays at.
Although the book is about her, we do learn about other people who are also staying at the clinic and what it has been like for them.

I feel like i have already done a review of this? I'm going mad, what can i say..

So my thoughts on the book was that it is good, but just good. I loved the way the book was set and that we kind of learn about the other characters of the book, why they are there and how long they have been there. I do however feel like we could have gone into it a bit more, like the ending of the book just left me hanging like "What, I don't understand?"

Like most books, i feel as though this has really given me an insight into what other young people may be going through because not everyone is like me (luckily) so i do find it quite hard to sympathise with people if you get what i mean?

Having said that, i would recommend this book to anyone who has considered reading it, or may want to read it as i said, it is a good book!!

I feel as though i should be doing a star system because that's what you normally get right? But i don't think i would do it any justice.

So yeah, that's that done :D Have a good rest of the week you lovely people!!!

Until the next time!
Naomie
